A Las Vegas Getaway is an escape to a 24-hour playground; this city is a giant Disney World for adults. Perhaps one of your first stops should be the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority's visitor center. It's where you can get free maps and select from hundreds of brochures for attractions in Las Vegas and the surrounding area. While there, you can even check your email - for free. Chances are you'll be staying in a hotel somewhere on or near the famed Las Vegas Strip, the official name of which is Las Vegas Boulevard South. It's a four-mile stretch, lined with the biggest, most luxurious casino-hotels imaginable.

Most everyone visiting Las Vegas wants to see at least one of the big production shows. The most popular headliner and production shows tend to sell out fast, it is advisable to book well in advance. Shopping

You may not be able to afford to actually buy much in these luxurious shopping havens, but just strolling and window-shopping in such elegant surroundings is an experience you won't soon forget. Food
