Saturday morning is a good time to go for a walk and explore the casino-resorts in the vicinity of your hotel. If you're staying at the southern part of the Strip, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Monte Carlo, MGM Grand and Tropicana are within easy walking distance. In the center of the Strip you're surrounded by Aria, Bellagio, Caesar's, Mirage, TI (Treasure Island), Venetian, Palazzo, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Flamingo, Bally's, Paris and Planet Hollywood. At the northern end of the Strip you're near The Fashion Show Mall, New Frontier, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Sahara, Riviera and Wynn's. I suggest a short nap after lunch. Many exciting activities await, you might be up late into the night. In the afternoon, perhaps relax by the pool for a while or, if shopping is your thing, there are upscale shopping malls that will absolutely astound you. If you wish to take in a show this evening but have not made reservations in advance, then stop in at Tickets2Nite (at the giant bottle of Coke, next to MGM Grand), where you can get same day show tickets at half price. You'll save money, but it may not be the show you really wanted to see. If you want to experience one of the really big entertainment attractions, I strongly suggest you reserve tickets online as soon as you have made your travel arrangements for your Las Vegas weekend, On your last day, for a change of pace, why not do something entirely different. Escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip for a few hours, maybe do some golfing or book a tour to one of the many sightseeing trips around the city. Choose one of these popular destinations: Hoover Dam, a Colorado River Float, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire or fly over the Grand Canyon. Then conclude your Las Vegas weekend with one more exciting night on the Strip. There are still 101 things to discover and to experience. And don't be sorry that you couldn't cover everything you hoped to see and do...you'll be back! |
